Suzanne's world, filled with gentleness and simplicity, immediately inspired us. After several years in different regions of France, she now lives in Bordeaux, where she spends most of her time in her shared studio...

Initially a graphic designer specializing in interface design, she has been self-employed for around fifteen years. Since discovering ceramics, this new activity has increasingly taken over her freelance work.
This passion for clay and ceramics was revealed during a discovery internship. Suzanne felt the need to create, to work the material with her hands, and above all to make useful objects that found their place in everyday life. As a graphic designer, she already enjoyed creating, but it remained very abstract and limited to the screen.
Suzanne is inspired by...
design, nature, materials, and many contemporary ceramists from around the world! Obviously, technical constraints are also always a source of inspiration.
When she embarks on a new project, it all starts with an idea that gradually germinates... This idea slowly matures until it takes shape.
After preparing pieces of clay of equal weight, she shapes her pieces on the potter's wheel. The next day, when they have begun to firm up, she turns them over and places them back on the wheel to finalize the base; this is called turning. This is also the time to sign the piece with a ceramic stamp.
Then, after several days of drying, the pieces undergo a first firing at 980°C. After this firing, she can glaze them by dipping them in a bath of minerals and oxide. They will vitrify during the second firing at 1280°C to form the glaze. Once removed from the kiln, the pieces are lightly sanded to soften the raw stoneware parts.
